I would recommend getting what is run in the mini class, which is the hobbywing 13t/3000kv brushless combo with the 35A Esc. Like this http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/271100020947?nav=SEARCH

For a lips battery, most guys at my track including myself use this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... _Pack.html

Grab a lion charger like this and you are set (you need the one with the Aussie plug. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... _plug.html

You could get this set up with 2 batteries for around $200 landed. That would give you 20-30mins per battery and you can charge the spare while using the other.

Cheers, I've already got a similar charger so that helps,do you guys use fire bags when charging, how much of a performance difference is the motor upgrade.

It's an epic combo. Cheap. Reliable. Simple. FAST. In a Mini you're limited by its internal gearing and max pinion size of 20T, but I have seen these combo's pushed hard in a Touring Car geared right down and they are almost as quick as a Mod car.

I use bags when I charge (except in my F1 at the track as it's a bit tricky to get the battery out as it's taped in and held in with the shock mount). I always use the bags at home, and at the track for my Mini and Touring Car.

I'm currently trying to research vaccuforming around Brisbane to see if someone can do me a one off 1/5 body for my baja. I'm trying to create rally bodies so hopefully, I will be able to start something there too...perhaps even the World Remote Control Rallying Championship...my baja is RWD, so my main focus is a mk2 escort for that. Then if I can get my hands on one of the club members losi 5IVE-Ts, the 4wd equivalent, I'm going to try and make some modern WRC car too. Perhaps even a 90s escort, fiesta, focus, impreza, something like that. I want. To create a mini shell too but I don't know what I'd put that on. If I wanted accuracy, I'd have to build a custom chassis so it was front wheel drive.

Vaccuforming is easy enough, there are tons of people who can do it. It's just getting the mould right. The dimensions, making it fit onto RC chassis' and whatnot. Quite tedious unfortunately...

there were 8 there last night I think. I couldn't stay for long...

mine was the only one that had wheel hop on corners, what makes them do that?

I have some new bits coming from Japan which includes a set of rear uprights, I discovered a while ago that one of mine (plastic) has about 4 degrees of toe in, but the other has the proper amount

Hey simon,

What shock oil are you using? I was running 45wt and getting lots of wheel hop. I changed to 27.5wt and now it's much better.

What about springs? I have blue front and red back.

ahh - I'd guessed that suspension was too hard - bloody WT ratings though, they're all different from brand to brand! http://www.rcrcr.com/index.php?option=c ... &Itemid=46

I'm using 500 cts now, I have some 350 I'll put in

and I'm using yellow/blue springs

so everything is stiffer than what you're using

I put the rears with the blue springs and 500cts on the front, and redid the fronts with the 350cts and red springs and took it to the track. Was a bit better, so then changed the oil in the fronts to the 350 and it was a bit better again, but now understeers more than it did...

So I need the back-end softer still?

My oil is 313cst. So you're close.

What tyres/wheels are you using?
Are you running a front shock tower? If so, what holes?
