I put a new set of Mini Spares Centre's 1.5:1 `forged' rockers together.
They seem to have fixed 2 of the recent problems I experienced:
1. The adjusters supplied are now straight, not all bent,
2. The top of the rocker where the nut sits is now flat, and not cocked at an angle. No re-machining required. :)

Sanded back more paint to continue cut and polishing the entire car while awaiting parts to arrive from the UK. Definitely not the best weather in Brisbane to spend in the garage applying elbow grease from hours on end.

Started to reassemble the rear subframe for my '69 'S'. It's was a bit of a slog. Fitted the trailing arms, only to find I forgot to install the front mounts first.

sent off the radiator to have the fins repaired, picked up my exhaust from having the hotdog removed and after a bit of persuasion got the headers away from the rest of the pipe

That's what I thought too, such a tidy looking car.
Can't wait to get mine back to get it looking complete again.

Just a pity about the Chelsea scarf in the background :P

Thanks guys. Sometimes it felt like it was never going to happen. I keep checking everything to make sure it still works. I will let you know how RWC goes. Luckily I have a great mechanic who is mini and classic car minded that is willing to accept the "character" of the car
You have to let me have the Chelsea scarf. I know what it's like to hurt! Maybe not now but we were crap in the 80s and 90s ☺️

And as if by magic..........started her up this morning, coolant leak. Investigation ......water pump....... Removed radiator and fan 3 bolts come out no problems.......4th bolt shears off. Sometimes I hate this car! Have tried numerous times to remove sheared bolt from pump ( it's corroded into the pump as opposed to in the engine block. Just don't have enough room to get anything in there. Walk away, coffee and smoke and maybe cry!

Windscreen in. Rear also but I took it out again as I had forgotten the trim between rear window and parcel shelf

I will put the rear back in this week.
