Yes its nice on carbs. Glass doesn't strip the zinc off the nuts and bolts either.

I should have it at the Mill, if you're lucky!

It's a work in progress. :)

Everything crossed.
Good weather for it.
We will miss you if you aren't able to make it.
But I'll take plenty of photos of all the cars if you can't!

Ahhh the old pallet with wheels trolley!

I like it, I've not seen one in a signature before :)

Pulled my spare Mk2S box down to fix jumping out of 2nd on overrun. This box has a 3.44 diff, where the Mk2S one in my Mini is running a 3.647.
I'm hoping the 3.44 diff will allow me to accelerate in 1st gear without short shifting @ 5000 due to A008 wheelspin, like I have to now.. :?

Sounds like a terrible problem to have. Wheel spin AND a spare MK2S box :!:

Added 3mm red pin stripes. I'm thinking maybe making the centre blue stripe completely red! Comments and opinions, positive or negative welcome 8)

Stripes look the goods. You would have to watch your step with those tailpipes sticking out that far. Trip over and scalp your shins!

I'd been having a problem with the clubby sometimes not wanting to start.... no power coming from the battery.
All i had to do to fix it, was wiggle the battery cables/terminals to sort it out.

so on Sunday I took the terminals off the wire and cleaned them up... cleaned the gunk out of the copper wires... then put the terminals back on.

since then... the 6 or so times i've driven it to/from work, sport, home its seems to have started up alot better and seems to be smoother at low revs.

am I just imaging it? or could a cleaner connection to the battery actually improve things like this?

I was inspired by the talk between Mick and Morris1100 a month or so ago and finally sorted out a sandblasting cabinet. Still need to tidy up a few things with it but its a good start at least.

Now I just need to finish the rebuild off of my second compressor so I can keep up the air to it!

Pulled out both fuel tank , R/H one is leaking
Pulled out both rear hydro displacers , R/H one is leaking
Will change both rear brake hoses , as the L/H one has cracks
do this before the R/H one starts leaking
Need 2 new ball foot rubbers
Might install my new old stock tail light assemblies while the tanks are out
Don't want to be doing any of this , But that's the joy of the mini

Mark
