Test fitted 2 of my new mambas yesterday!

They stick out past the guards about 3 inches so I think I need to find some flares.
Still unsure on what type!

Cheers, Rhys.

They were never NOT going to stick out though, but geez they look great. My favorite wheel ever!

They do look sexy!
And I knew they would stick out so was expecting to get flares anyway.
Hence why I test fitted so I could measure up for flares!

Any rub, or does it sit high enough?

Hmm, you mean the timing gear cover or the one between the plate and the engine, I thought the one to the engine was the same? I should drop in the timing gear cover however. I'll get onto it.

Light grease will do, either type. Its more about having a grease in there then any particular type.

Hi again just dropped Hamish back to his Mums; watch out he has his 'L' plates now! I mean the one that goes between the engine and engine plate. Apparently both this gasket and the timing gear cover are different on the A+.

I'll use some Molly... I've had a new speedo for a while, and its got the slight wobbles. It could also be the speedo as some comments suggest that they are Chinese crap. I don't know, but speedo cables are cheap and its easy to replace whilst I have the front of the engine off.

Thanks for your help again.

They only just rub on full lock over a decent bump.
once the new engine is in ill be resetting the height anyway as the dump will probably sit rather low and ill just mod the guards to suit.

Replaced wiring in engine bay and from fuse box to light switch after electrical fire last sunday made a mess of it. The light show under the dash looked good but the smoke wasn't. Also replaced the jet feed tube and nut at the bottom of the float bowl as it was leaking fuel straight onto the exhaust pipe.

Went to the local fastener joint to get the nuts and bolts required for my sub frame rebuild. turned out to be much cheaper than expected.
I never want to use crusty old fasteners again, sooo much nicer using new stuff!
Unfortunately they didnt have any M14 rod, so i cant finish off the front frames yet.

Wired in a aldi 3 socket 2 USB 12 volt socket box to the aux fuse i stuck it on the side of the radio box

They come out today for $4.99 http://www.lasoo.com.au/catalogue/aldi- ... 0220682519

Cut off plug and put + wire to the aux fuse spare connecter and the - wire to the earth screw near the fuse box with all the other earth wires

Going back a bit here but I bought one of these from Aldi as we'll.
When I use it in my civic it causes static on the radio.
Does anyone know how to stop this (soldering in a capacitor, resistor thingy)

I would check all your connections including the plug in the socket...poor connections can cause the same interference.

Long hard fight with the needle bearings in the upper control arms. They almost had me beat, but eventually got out!
