A quick clean and then a drive to celebrate its 40th anniversary of continuous, one family registration.

Well done old friend!

Made up spacers for front subframe. When I pulled it apart it had two big steel spacers that were about a kilo each.....no joke.. I'm not exagerating.
I left them out when I put it back together, everything seem to line up fine without them. I was wrong, oops, I mean mistaken, I'm never wrong.

It was like putting the brakes on when I turned. So I manufactured them in ally, superlight racing spacers, should be good for an extra 10kph.

As the saying goes, an inch is as good as a mile. It clears, that's enough for me.

Pumped the LH hydro up. It had a weep at the valve- which wasn't fully tight, and the original cap's seal washer was perished too.
Aldi O-ring to the rescue. :)

Took delivery at long last of our new Mini "Special". It's a tight fit in our carport, however the whole fleet does fit. Not bad for Northcote. :)

Painted the rear subframe and components in a bit of chassis black. Bent some new brake lines for it also.

Hosed the cat poo from the Mini's carpet. Cat is in hiding.

It was the mythical number three. Full blurter failure.
