Thanks for that, yes the boot is unlocked. :D

[edit] Couldn't see any legible numbers stamped on the shaft, so I refitted it.
I can't find the spare one either. :x

Buggerit, instead of going for a drive to John's then having to clone a key, I'll just take the boot lock to my friendly local locksmith and get 2 keys cut for it.
[edit] A bad idea this, the locksmith (blacksmith?) fooked up the lock inside somehow.
So I've ordered a new one with keys, from Minis Plus.

I know a locksmith around the corner who has a shop in forge st blacktown J-Lock Mobile Locksmith 0296214318 father and sons do it

I went to the one on Sunnyholt Rd.
When I've fitted the new lock I'll take the old one apart, now that I have a key.
[edit] new lock comes with 2 keys.

"Lost" one of my chipped keys (with house, garage, mail box etc.) for the Jeep...looked everywhere...could not find the key ring...then one coolish Spring morning, as I took the waste & garbage out to the kerb, I threw on my hunting jacket.

Last wore the jacket in early December when I caught the last Mule Deer hunting days after coming home from OZ & NZ. YUP, the "lost" keys were in the right hand pocket!

We must be getting old Kevin!

Make sure it's well fused, Aldi... Hmm :)

I finished stripping down my 1100 motor in prep for rebuild. The crank looks good std std. Only going to need bearings and a light linish. Gearbox internals look pretty good too! Happy :)

I had 168 main jets in the Dellorto, before that I ran 165s. Goes better with the 168s, more is better right? So, I tried some 170s I had.
Was too rich.. ???! Tried a drill in them, found somebody has drilled these out to 175. :( 168s will have to do for now.

I've already binned them. They are only 4 quid to buy new from dellorto.co.uk . Or, I could drill out some smaller ones I don't use at GR's.

I will put the A/F meter on it tomorrow and go nail it up my favourite hill in 2nd gear. The 168s are on the money for road use I think. It even idles nice when warm.8)

[edit] Mixture at full throttle from 3500 to 6500+ is steady around 12.5:1.
Cruising about at part throttle it's about 13.5-14.5:1
Near enough for me. 168s it is. :D
It's idling good too.
Can't check mixture at idle because the sensor is clamped onto the tailpipe. Too much air going in and out at idle.

A few weeks ago I finally decided I was sick of the ripples down the driver side of the car, in the door and the rear quarter panel.

So I went at them and dinged them out carefully. Today I coated the rear quarter and door again in paint.

Now the front end is giving me the irrits too...

I suppose we'll go around the car and do a full 360 eventually

Pulled out the LH tank to find an annoying fuel leak. After much stuffing around, decided it must be at the fuel sender O-ring. Replaced the sender with a different (But also not working) sender, slapped No.3 Gasket goo either side of the O-ring & put it all back together & left it to dry. Also replaced the very old 2-channel amp with an old 4-channel one I bought ages ago, but I forgot about it when we moved 5 years ago...... Found it the other day still in its' box...
