ahoy there chaps and chapettes
I'm in the process of fixing up my melted wiring and ive noticed on ebay a 78 moke wiring loom. How different would it be to a 1973 clubman loom? I dont need a complete loom just probably a 1/4 of a front one. The wire lengths and colours would be similar wouldnt they?
or does anyone have a spare clubby one they want to sell me

thanks
trent

Moke would be considerably different I'd have though.
Follows a different path around the car so why waste the time?

I'd try and find a clubby one, or even an 80s rover one will fit.
:D

The biggest difference is likely o be with the wiper motor wiring. Mokes around that era used a complicated system to get two speeds. Otherwise they should be similar, same colours and approximate location of components, but not a direct swap.

The lengths of the wire runs would be all over the place. It would be a case of chopping and changing to get things to fit.
The speedo wiring alone is very different.

Get a proper one or fix yours.

Instruments part is completely different too. Different plugs and wires. You could adapt a Moke one, but it's a lot of work.

Someone on here must have a clubby one available. I have one from a 71 Clubby povo pack, but I think I ratted bits from it for my Moke so it's probably no good to you.

The 78 should have some extra not needed bits (brake warning light, Handbrake light etc), but the rest should work.
