I believe MiniMad just went back to 10's in his 4EFTE and loves it compared to the previous 12's...

Yea as Ray said, i'm running 10x6 with my conversion now.

I think you will need to look at your local laws to determine whether you can do it. I'm running 7.5" vented/slotted/drilled discs with alloy 4pot calipers and so far so good.

Hi Mini Mad, sorry to hijack but are you using a brake booster?

Its my own personal preference, I've tried all 10s 12s and 13s, and going from 13s to 10s there is a lot of weight savings in unsprung weight, less torque steer, less/no bump steer, more traction, Overall better handling but brakes are the compromise for this.

the actual height of the car is basically the same when going from 13" to 10" wheels, because the tyre size goes up - there might be 5mm height difference for the car

here's a chunky looking clubman on 10"s I pulled out of a topic in the Members Gallery

lol - well you know what it looks like then :D  nice looking car ;)

seriously, it won't sit much higher on 13" wheels, if you want to run 10"s and need it further off the ground, just adjust your hilo's a bit

cars with 13" wheels usually sit higher because they need to adjust the hilo's up so the wheels clear the mudguards at the front, because they're usually very wide, and a really wide offset - part of the "look" people want with 13" wheels. Doesn't do it for me, I like 10"s - look better, cheaper and handle better
