Hi All,
Yes been missing in action and not because I have been working on the Mini. Raising kids and keep the wife happy mainly (oh and the new addition due in Feb).
Anyway, thought you might like the results of the new tune. Basically I hadn't been driving Minstar because it ran so rich even after the great work by Pulse in Sydney, that it was basically undriveable (made me high as a kite and then very ill). Anyway mates said good things about Ultimate Tunes, so I dropped down there today expecting a large hit to the pocket and probably no difference.
How wrong was I, they cleaned up the fuel map, so it now idles and runs very crisply but also the end result, 22 extra Kw (146 to 168) and whats more at approximately 2 psi less than before (16 psi down to 14 psi).
So there you go 225 Bhp atw and just over 300Nm. No obviously everyone has to be on the same dyno yadda yadda and I agree, but lets face it when other people have broken 200hp I didn't argue as that the figure the dyno spat out so this time around I am going to take it...
What is most pleasing is that technically I did not add anything it was simply that the fueling was so rich it was sapping power. Wonder what it does on 16?
Dyno sheet attached.
Cheers
