Felt very ashamed after reading the activity that has been going on- did however admire my POR 15 work on subframes, and packaged calipers for resleeve-keep up the good work it will get me motivated.

Hung some bits off the engine after giving it a second coat of paint. Purchased an adapter for the temperature sensor and fitted it to the thermostat housing.
Found I had put the dizzy drive in 180° out so fiddled with it - taking out and putting back - out and back a couple of times to get the slot pointing at 1 o'clock when #1 is TDC
Modified the Maniflow 3:1 manifold so the nut and washer would fit around the welds on either end plate then fit it
Added the twin carby set up on the manifold (note to self - remove carbys AND heat shield to remove if need be in situ.)
Fitted the clutch end breather
Then spent ages looking for a couple of things I put in a safe place 8 years ago when I dimantled the engine - still not found

Learnt that it's easier to connect the brake lines when the engne is out.

Put engine back in.
Installed thermofan
Installed electric water pump.. Just need to turn it on and test it.
Installed new heater tap clubby type
Installed 4 pot calipers
Installed new front arms, hopefully will drive straight now and not scrub out tyres after 5000 km's

tried and succeeded in doing up brake lines on the drivers side.

Now just need to do the wiring and change the rear wheel cylinders to suit.

pulled off hubs to replace wheel bearings and ball joints.

Replaced the wheel bearing and ball joints. Man that takes some time to do with the testing, undoing, add a shim, do up, test, undo, ad another shim, do up, test, undo, take off a shim an pput a slightly smaller on on..... blah blah.

Managed to break two grease nipples.
Went to repco and when I walked in the guy said what can I help you with and without thinking is said can you show me to the nipples? Could have been worse, could have said can I see your nipples?

I fixed the annoying rattle on my gearstick. And took a test drive out to dayboro, and cruised at 110 which i was very pleased with.

put sum radiator flush in me cooling system last nite, drove to trade school today

removed radiator reverse flushed for about 45minutes.
radiator contents look liked a giant peice of cow dung,
reverse flushed engine
engine contents look just the same

cleaned all thouraghly, painted radiator, shroud, brackets and thermostat housing.
put back together, added some moderatly priced tectaloy coolant.

only sits half way between cold and normal now. on a cold adelaide day

very impressed.

doesn't take much to get a mini running cool, does it...

today I had a heating problem, I hadn't done up the locking screw on my heater tap, so when I pushed in the knob on the dashboard to open it and let water flow into the heater, it didn't, and I was left with the heater blowing cold air on my feet

so when I got home I tightened up the screw
