Not a Morris 1300 engine? - they can also be fitted, but I think need more work.

1275 in line engine blocks (Midget, NZ Marina, etc) can be made to fit a Mini, but the rear main bearing needs to have the `seal' machined off it, and the crank swapped for a transverse one- Morris 1100S/1300, 1275LS, or 1275 Cooper S. That may mean the rods need swapping too. Hardly worth the trouble.
I did a 1098 AH Sprite one into a Mini once- these days it's not worth the bother.
