Ive finally got all the wheels on and suspension together for a trial fit, all clearances with the 13x7's and coilvers look alright

Im abit worried about my ground to subframe clearance at the moment its at its highest setting and have 130mm could any1 confirm the minimum distance allowed????

Also have been cutting up my intake mainfold and rewelding it with a bit more of a curve in it to clear the fire wall.

100mm from lowest point to the ground is the legal requirement for clearance.

(In most Australian states/territories)

that's the ADR design rule.... 100mm. Before Minis were released here, it was 150mm minimum, they changed the rules for us... ain't that sweet

I was thinking it was gonna be driving! but I'm not disappointed, looks great - I still love that colour :D

I'm keen to see progress shots of your intake modification - I need to do the same with mine. Granted my engine is a D series, but the process is the same.....

thought about making a new one?

I'll hopefully finish it this weekend and will post more pics then, as for making one i thought it be easier just to mod the stock one.

Ive still had to cut some of the firewall though but not much will get some pics soon

Looking good mate.

What Honda are the discs off? Size? And how to they attach to the drive flange? Are you using the normal disc drive flange?

Cheers

Madmorrie

Thanks madmorrie,

The disks are from a ED CRX 1.6 litre 2-Door DX-Si Non vtec, and i think the calipers are the same but not 100% because they are were secondhand and could of came off something else, but that was what i ask for when i bought them.
Part # was DBA187 242mm Dia 44.5mm Wide 19mm thick.

As for attaching it to the flange i've got the studs going through the disc and into the 8.4 disc flange.
I just need to figure out where to put holes for the 2 screws, or does any1 know if you even have to have them??? because it will be secure enough with just the studs.

Steve

watch out with those rotors, they're not designed to have studs going through them to secure them to the drive flange, it's only thin cast iron and can crack very easily.....

I thought of doing similar to you, but putting a 1/2" plate behind the rotor to mount the studs, and bolting the flange through the rotor into the plate as well
