I'm sure it'll stop better than any Mini has a right to. I did the ones on Josh's Clubby, now on da Moke.

Ok so i finally got my bits back from the powdercoaters.... Really good job, as always. $200 later which is pretty good considering they did it on a Sunday for me.......

I did have to remove some powdercoating from the mounting points to ensure everything fitted together how it was originally planned. No big deal for my dremel tool

Now i just have to get the calipers back together with the new seals installed......Tricky!!!

So Brake Conversion so far:

2 new RDA Rotors: $88
2 2nd hand calipers: $110
Machine work: $451
2 Caliper Kits: $38
4 RDA brake pads: $44
Powdercoating: $200

Total: $931

Well if i had access to cheap 2nd brake parts that may of brought the cost down a bit, (most people seem to get there calipers and rotors for $100.....) plus i could quite easily of used the calipers as they were. The seals were all good, and the pads had plenty of meat on em. It was just the machine work that turned out to be very expensive.

So really if i wanted to do it on the cheap, it could of cost me half of my total cost.... But this is something that i must do right the first time, so while they are apart, thats the best time to replace bits.

Unlike BMC... who made the 7 inch discs first up...

but then they fixed it by making the 7.5s.... and all was good...
