Hey all Got a new set of twins for xmas thought you might like a look. They are inch 3/4. Was wondering if there was anyone out there that was running them??? Im intrested in what size engine they were attached to?? I am thinking on putting them on 1275 with a worked head and cam. Any comments would be great. Happy New Year to you all

I could tell you if you posted up the numbers on the top of the float bowl on the little piece of metal. These would go great on a HOT 1275 as USUALLY most mini's (even 1275's) use 1.5" twins as the biggest carb - it depends on the spec level of your engine.

They'd work marvelously on a worked 1275 but it'd want to have a fair bit of work done to it to truly get the potential out of them. Other than that what bloody nice twin very yummy indeed!!!

Should of said before, a set of twin HS2's (1.25") can handle upto about 75 - 80hp from an engine before they need to go bigger - so yeah, what 1360 LS said, it would need a really racey engine.

It'd want to have at least 110 but I'd even go as far to say minimum spec engine would be chong's 1330 and that 119 from memory. You want to attach it to a race engine preferably.

Nothing looks better on a classic mini than twins 8) I think twins look the business on a nicely restored mini

Yeah they are most likely too big for any 1275 aplication I've seen on the roads. They look tough though, do a graham russel and work them a bit (check Mini experience, second to newest issue I think.) and get them sorted and they would truly be a full race setup.

Could be off a number of British cars, Jaguar S-Type/420/Mk2 2.4, Dolomite Sprint, Triumph 2500, Rover 3 litre, Austin A90 etc etc.
