Hi Iv'e come to the stage to choose supension for my mini. I want it to be street/track capable and I have a budget of about ~ $1000. I was intersested in what kind of kits or parts there are avaliable and how good they are.
Cheers.

well shocks just bolt right up..the mounts are already there..

I just bought these:

$750 the set..

you'd want adjustable bottom arms and tie rods though..about ~$500 the set

Not sure the code..i could get it if you need it but the boxes with the code are in the garage...

Koni's and Spax are used alot on mini's...

KYB aren't too bad either..for your dollar

I know a couple that use SPAX..everyone seems to like what they have got.

Personally i like Koni's and I like Bilsteins...i went the Bilsteins cause the workshop/imported is around the corner from my work.

You might be thinking of a coil-over setup from spax...consensus is that that aren't that good..mounts need to be strengthened..mini's were never designed for them..

Hmm...why are ball joints costing you $300?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MINI-BALL-JOINTS-TOP-AND-BOTTOM-NEW_W0QQitemZ200011330969QQihZ010QQcategoryZ32072QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

And what exactly do you get with a bush kit?

Yea just get the shocks..they should just mount right up..you don't need anything else if you already have shocks that i know of.

I got SPAX adjustables, cost me 250 for full set on ebay! :D From brickworx. I took a risk as they were used but not old. But they turned out to be great. Spax are awesome, I didnt get koni's as the model i could afford (which would have cost more than that) to adjust the had to be remove te spax you adjust wit a screw driver, BTW what about Hi-Los? Don't make you car drive much better but make it look PRO unless you already got those...

yeh getting hi los as well, ive goto replace my suspension any way, but i wanna eventually set it up for track use, so thats why i wanted to go the konis. Also ive gotta get new bushes aswell, i had it up on the hoist yesterday and almost cried when i saw the condition of the bushes, but yeah 640 for the konis is a good price and they are easily accesible to me
