I have timed the ignition as per the Docs instructions or so I think.
I stand corrected on this but the procedure for setting the timing is as follows
I have a new mark on my pulley wheel 24mm measured clockwise from the original mark.
I run it to 4000+ with the vac line disconnected from the dist and plugged with a screwdriver.
I advance the dist until the new pulley mark lines up with the pointer corresponding to 0.

yeah, but you didn't answer the question about what fuel you're using.... that timing may only work on 95-98 RON...

I have a pulsar 4DR83 dissy, it is timed correctly, the fuel i run is 98, the head is brand new (no carbon), my idle is 1100rpm on a dellorto 45 no vac advance and she runs on every time.

I think it is a result of too much advance as you are setting it up for 4000rpm and not static at idle.

Stall it I tell ya... it's not a big deal... else retard and lose hp mid to high range. Just my opinion only
