I want to run twin 1.5 inch Su carbs, much like the works coopers and the Oz police cars from the 60"S.

Have the carbs linkages etc but need a twin Su manifold that works. Does anyone in OZ do a twin su inlet manifold to fit 1.5 inch carbs square flange

I have a 1300 gt Land crab one which has been modified from 1.25 to 1.5 inch but it does not look like the best

cheers

Bernard.

Lynx did make one here for twin 1.25s, they are still common but won't fit 1.5s unless you use the real old H4s.
Redline still list one new, but only for twin 1.25s.

Only manifold I saw here for twin 1.5s was the square flange factory Mk2 S one, Minispares UK do one similar.

Try also SU Midel in Sydney. http://www.sumidel.com/

Best one for flow supposedly is the Maniflow steel, available from Minispares etc.

.....Yeah but that one won't fit a matched LH & RH pair- you would need to use a bit of rod and 2x `W clamps' to link the throttles.
Nowhere near as good as the proper SU linkage.

If all else fails get someone with enough time and experience to make you a custom manifold. Correct if Im wrong but that is a possibility but expensive too.

I got mine direct from Maniflow in UK.I've just found the reciept.
I emailed them([email protected]) then paid by credit card.
Part number for twin 1 1/2 Inlet is L149-2XHS4-1.5.I also ordered matched port to head.
Cost(2004) Pounds 95.00 postage 15.00-Total 110.00(pounds) landed in Aust.
No VAT to pay because export order.
Hope this helps.

thanks for the photo.

was it straight bolt on affair or did you have to modify it in any way as your one has a provison for the accelarator cable and the ones on the website don't.

Also can you remember what needles you are running as i am also building a big bore engine 1360

Cheers

Yes straight bolt on job.Briazed on the cable attachment, then got the manifold coated before fitting. As for the needles, not sure as I had the motor dyno tunned and the guy kept putting the needles in his lathe until he got it right...I'm more than happy with the set up(these are now twin 13/4) as 1/12 were not delivering enough fuel and air!! I decided to stay with yhe SU set-up instead of sticking a Weber on it. :)

I had one made by maniflow (but for twin 1.25" HS2s) and simply asked them to include the throttle cable bit. They did, no extra charge. I can email you some pics if you like.

Go straight to maniflow and start asking them questions, then once you are happy, send em your credit card number and 2 - 3 weeks later a special package will arrive on your doorstep. :D
