thats a bloody big expense to go to if it makes no performance improvement

alright boys and girls.. i'm gunna do some experiments... stay tuned

i have a g-tech performance meter.. bloody accurate lil gizmo that plus into the ciggy lighter and then you thrash your car for a lil while and it will tell you your 0-100 time, 1/4 mile time.. peak hp (i dont trust that bit)
but the 0-100 and 1/4 mile are pretty bloody accurate, and perfetly consistent..the latter being more important (when i tested it in my cortina the time stopped just as the speedo clicked past 100).. is cool
so this is what i propose..

as i do lil mods to my car here and there i will post what improvement it makes in real figures... i wanna know how much extra grunt will a 45DHLA make to my car but noone can seem to give me a better answer than "it sounds cool"...
the two i have are setup for a 2L escort with peak power at 6G... i figure one of em cant be a bad setup for a 1098... i knows theres more to calculating crap like that than cc's but its a start...

can i get some more show of hands of power improvements from going from a crappy (by design, not maintenance status) SU to a beefy 40 or 45 weber or dellorto
if i'm gunna slog out a couple of hundred bucks on bits it better do better than 'sound cool'
