Ahhhh, you`re all fuddy duddies, they stay cool quite well,,,no drams at all

dam minis get a bad rap because idiots can`t keep an 850/998/1098 cool so the whole world starts to think a stroker will run hot,,,CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

strokers are the most refined wonderfull roadies ever, drive a good one & you will never ever want to go back.

all the people that drove mini hopoped out of the car with a grin from ear to ear & said "I WANT ONE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do it willy!!!!!!!! DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Matt, is it a bit dodgy stroking these 1275A+ cranks with the rolled fillet radii- the offset grinding will wipe it out but only 1/2 way round the journal...??

I know people do it, but how reliable are they afterwards? :?

are you using this in a road car? if so why go to all these big pricey race things, when are u gunna get to use it, up to 100 on a freeway before u can get done for speeding. why not spend the extra cash (if there is any) on making the car nicer inside and out?

Build a Mutant type mini? Nah.

And don't dare try.
Cos i'll shut you down, foo
Just a bit of fun

All they are are questions in the air.
I'm not saying i will do them
I'm investigating different options.
With people that know what's what. (Matt and Doc)

Cush... get off the grass.

how long before willy gets has car confiscated/ until he crashes it

i'd say we all put in a fiver and write down our guesses and then when it happens, the closest guess takes all

:)

Doc, they`re just fine, the old cranks didn`t even have that deep rolled fillett at all & we just made as long/wide a radius as possible when we ground em, so where there is some left then cool, big deal that it isn`t all the way round, i just hand pollish the edge so it`s not a sharp transition

The extra dollars isn`t really that much when you think about it,,,crank grind & rods narrowed, big deal, for a few bucks you get wonderfull phat torque curve & an engine that pulls like a bunch of school boys

My road donk runs a 3.2:1 diff ratio & actually uses it... not like some mini donks where the extra tallness of the diff ratio isn`t able to be used/ reved out to it`s optimum , just makes a doh-y pig to drive with no accelleration, these strokers will pull the tallest diff ratio happilly & hardly notice that you have 3 or 4 people in the car,,,you get just one passenger in a normal mini & it`s dead, take 3 people in a stroker & it`s barely even noticing they`re there

drive up a decent, steep, tall, long, motha of a hill & when you`re allready at the top way before you normally would have been & then realise how dam fast you`re going when you`re at the top, makes you think , you really need to experience it before you say much more. drive around town in top gear all day everywhere, acts like an automatic, no need to change down gears at all, leave the thing in top , seriously!!!

ok,,,i`m done :-)

carry on, class dismissed :-)

I got my stroker motor off Matt, and yet to use it to it's full advantage as not registered but the couple of dusk time swiftys around the block have been great, definately pulls hard and likes to go!

Matt took me for a spin in his daily driver with this motor in it before I bought it and as he said I got out grinning from ear to ear and wearing a nice pair of brown jocks afterwards.
Bloody thing was quick and as all of you that know Matt he wouldn't have been showing off at all! :)

willy if your still undersided and are up this way in 'Gods Country' then pop round for a spin, it will definately make your mind up to go for the stroke that's for sure, or perhaps from the others responses my mini might be safer if I took you for a spin! :)

Pffftt... only if you drive at 40km/hr. It takes less than an hour on the train.

But seriously, look me up. I'd love to kick you in the... err... nah... are you old enough to have a beer yet?
