Hey willy.... its not just a matter of "buying" a drop gear with a roller bearing fitted - the end of the gearbox casing and the rear clutch housing need to get modified to suit.... thats a $$ job right there :wink:

No gearbox case or transfer housing modifications needed for this one, just the idler bearings removed and grub screw fitted ala typical SC Timken set up. This is for A series not A+. KG did good work.

willy, if you remember the motorkhana, MADMINI has straight cut drop gears, and it whines like a bitch, way too noisy for a normal car, far too much overkill.

Helical cut gears also make it nicer to change gears.

Some of us WANT a noisy nearbox - one that SCREAMS "performance" :wink:

I'm trying to work out how to make my Supercharger drive belt as loud as possible.

To me, "luxury" is a stripped interior, racing seat, noisy engine and rock hard suspension. None of this whisper quiet crap for me thanks :lol:
