Ive Emailed them for a price as no prices on the site that I could find.

Hi Jill - you wont get change out of $5000 clams and gives you about 30% more ponies. Swedish design(Orcon 2 screw) and Hans Pederson has been doing it for a few years now. Seen one up close and personal and they really have some poke - puts the 998cc into the modded Cooper S hp range(60-70HP with thoughtful and careful massaging)

A good thing to have when towing with the mini

If you are after an SC kit that is 100% new and comes with a warranty, this is the way to go. Warranty only covers the SC bits if they fail due to a manufacturing fault.... if you blow your motor up, that's YOUR PROBLEM.

THAT is the reason why I went for the SC12 kit. Half the price, does the same job, cheaper to replace broken bits due to them being readily available..... and if my engine blows up, its still going to be MY PROBLEM.

Whatever turns you on, I guess.

The Orcons big downer apart from the price is the piddly little oil reservior supplied with the kit. To be totally reliable I would be plumbing in the oil line somewhere to run with the engines oil supply.

The paxton M45 kit from CAPA is another alternative as it is simple and provides good power over normal. And at $3200 rods allows you to upgrade the brakes as well.

Plus with the Orcon though is the fitment as everything is supplied and fits into the engine bay without body mods(except for the oil elbow which requires a little metal to be removed from the bonnet bracing member. ..)

Swings and roundabouts...

Hooroo

Hehe, I read today that there has only been 200 BINI S works kits fitted in Australia and now the works kits are going to be production line fitted in oxford anyway...
