the volvo calipers are cast steel I think
When they use them on commodores they put a spacer betwwen the two haves to suit the different thickness.
So I took the calipers to work last night to clean them up........... and they are from a camira......... with solid disc rotors....... darnit. I have to take them back. 40 bucks for the pair.

btw can anyone tell me the inside diameter of 12' rims?(contessa style) I have now got the correct setup... camira calipers as per pictures. The diameter needed to clear is about 11 inches or close to it. (275 mm)

just a word of warning... the set i bought from the guy in Camden were NOT engineerable.... Somthing about the brackets I had not being true and placing the callipers over the same amount of surface on the disc...

So buyer beware...

The ones I saw looked well made, if both brackets are made the same I can't see the problem.
Certainly they look better set up than my Honda Citys, which 13secmini's engineer said he would have passed (with Starlet turbo power) if they had been ventilated.

For those interested.

The camiras with vented discs were the JD and JE models 1984 - 1989. This should help you guys abit when finding parts. I got this info of the DBA website so it should be accurate.

Cheers, Cazmo

998 - if you sell your current brakes it should pay for the new wheels and the camiras :P

In the first few photos on this thread I noticed some tabs on the opposite side of the caliper, why are they there? they are part of the adapter plate, are they there to stop the brake lines from rubbing? or are they to stop full lock?

If you mean the lugs near the hose fitting- I think like the Hondas, they are there to help stop the banjo end on hose from unscrewing.
