Well I have now located a good baisis to form my new engine and gearbox mega power package.
This motor will be very refined with some new age technoligy and some special GR items.
I will be taking some time for the build up as my current motor is going well and money will be saved so I can purchase most of the items at the same time.
here is the complete std setup waiting for striping.

still undecided about about the gearbox type rod or remote, the best thing about a rod is i can put the whole gear lever in the cabin plus more room around the diff which means alot more room for a 3" exhaust straight from the turbo .

yeah looking like a 8 port efi turbo comming.

i think a NA efi 8 port big block motor would be very close to the power i have now, add a turbo-intercooler and i think the A series will be easy over 240hp, will the box hold upto it grant?? Cant wait to see this package unleashed at wakefield :D

how much power who knows, just like i dont know how much it puts out now but i will be happy with 200 reliable clydesdale horses.

as for the gearbox it will be all straight cut and straight cut bearing drop gears etc.

only one way to find out how much it will hold and that is to see when it breaks.

my current mini k box has held up now for 5 years with abuse and up to 18psi and she is still good just wear out diffs but i will b e going with a quaife lsd this time plus equal length drive shafts etc

it will not be a 6 month build either closer to a year to get all the funds/.

Good block for a turbo, they bore better than A+ Metros do. Less crap in the castings... 8)

My gearbox is a rod change, with the thicker A+ Layshaft

If you want some ideas on internal gear linkages, KAD make one..

Image

Allows gear change housing to be mounted inside the car. All of the parts for the conversion (except the standard gear change housing) are supplied. Gearchange rod runs through top of tunnel connected by universal joints

No doubt $$$...I wonder how much
