Ok, I'm thinking of getting rid of my standard 1300 inlet....
Want a nice flowing, big-port inlet that is suited to a 1 3/4 HIF-6 ....

I know the distribution on the standard unit is not great... and with the DRMINI special Tuning head, i want to give it all the best chance possible !

Suggestions under $350 would be appreciated !

J

GR's one is a ripper, best you can get for an NA motor. Dunno about a turbo, but I can't see why not. Except it's pretty long- may be a clearance problem with the plenum..
There's a pic or 2 in the GR dyno day thread.

ps. my pics there probably don't work now as I just changed ISPs, will fix `em this week.

Yea, forgot to mention.. the 1300 Manifold has the plenum just touching the firewall ... (I've "clearanced" the speedo hole with a BFH)
so the GR one would be a little too long....

Anyone have any experience with the stock metro one ? (non turbo- are they different ?)

Later

You could always use an angle grinder like I did, then go find a 90* speedo drive box & early Clubbie cable..
Hmmmm, I might finish doing this mod so I can try the GR Weber manifold WITH a filter on......

There is a thread on here somewhere with p/nos..
I would try your friendly Land Rover- or was it Range Rover? dealer, I believe they use 'em..
Or, ring Olympic Instruments..

hey James,

i remember eading inthe yellow bible that the std metro manifold is the best one the factory has ever produced i am not sure if the turbo v's NA is different though.
he even mentioned that is is better than many of the aftermarket ones too but that was mid 80's i guess
i have given mine a good clean up with the die grinder and and its ok matched to my ports.
