A member is having a continuing problem whereby the Ausmini forum logs them out without warning or user intervention.

Is anyone else having this problem? A yes or no response from you would assist in diagnosing the issue so we can pinpoint whether forum software or user device related.

I am usually permanently signed in and have not experienced this issue.

Don’t know if its related..... however..

I usually try to log in to peruse the forum with my breakfast coffee.. I say “try” because I usually just get a message to the effect that “cannot find the server”. Multiple tries don’t improve things.

I’ve just concluded that the site is shut down each morning for maintenance or some such?????

Cheers, Ian

There is no shutdown for maintenance so your issue is something else.

You could try a latte rather than cappuccino for your breakfast coffee and see if that helps. :)

Seriously though, are others experiencing this issue?

Two things I should have mentioned at the outset.

1. The forum software logs you out after 60 minutes of inactivity.

2. There is a check box when you sign in that says "Log me on automatically each visit". Ensure that is checked if you don't want to go through the sign-on process each time.

I do, very occasionally have to log in. Mostly though the open tab on my desktop just needs refreshing to bring up the new messages. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to why I do have to log in when wanting to read the forum.

I have to log back in occasionally, there is no rhyme or reason to it. I can go for weeks with all fine then a short period of having to log in again. the last time was last week 3 days in a row.
I will however say that it is more than likely device issues as this is on an android device.
Never have a problem on a win 10 laptop.

I had this issue back in January. It seemed to happen if I stayed in one thread for a while, scrolling but not clicking anywhere.

I played around with various settings but nothing helped. After annoying the crap out of me for a couple of weeks the problem magically disappeared.

I haven't been logged out while on the site. I typically leave a tab open and come back to where ever i was. Sometimes need to log back in on a new visit, but not often.

May depend on your browser settings. If you clear your cookies, or if it is set to clear cookies/cache on exit then your will need to login next visit.

I was notifying about the problem as requested by admin, NOT asking for help!!
