When I bought my Cooper S it came with quite a few extra parts. I'm slowly going through them and refurbishing the best ones for the rebuild. Most things I've got two of are the same (except for condition) But the Instruments are the exception.
One of the Spedo's has larger indicator lights and left and right indicator lights, also the pattern on the centre boss are different.
The Temp and Oil pressure guages also vary. One of the Temperature guages is electric and maked L and H while the other uses a capilary and is marked in Deg F. One of the Oil pressure guages had a sweep of about 90 deg the other nearly 300 deg. Both measure to 100 lb.
I presume the switch hidden in one of the cowlings is some sort of home made anti theft device. The car is a Mk 1 (67).

Any help would be apreciated.

Ken

The switch underneath is for panel lights.

I don't have the part numbers for the MK1 S gauges. They have are Black Face and the oil gauge is pretty standard on a few models. There are alot of different Temp Gauges. They have slightly different markings on the face and scale but if you can find one that looks like the photo below then you should be fine.

The MK2S Gauges have a grey face and any of the MK2 range like the Mini K will suit.

Many cars had the after market gauges fitted early in their lifetime so it probably wont matter too much if you use the guages you have.

Thanks, that's very helpfull.
I'll go with the Mk2 Temp and Oil for now as I like the idea off the electric Temp guage and the Mk2 Oil guage matches, :)

You will make good money selling the Mk2 set.
Much rarer than the mk1 gauges as they were only made for Australia

Yep - stick them on the correct binnacle and sell them. Might even get $800 - $1000.

Unfortunately I don't have the Mk2 binnacle. Just the gauges.
