Ok fair enough.... I just reckon there are enough companies producing mini lights..... There needs to be more options I reckon, or reproduce something rare from the period. My thoughts

But being made for mini racers I have no idea of the rules and regulations, so if it serves its purpose successfully well done.

Good luck.

Will there be an option to buy them with some sort of centre cap?

I'd be interested in a set.

What's the price going to be?
Where can they be purchased?
Are pre-production orders being taken?

Just so you know.

Mini & Moke World P/L hope to have stock of these wheels we have been helping design etc
due in August.
Will be available in silver & we have asked for them in charcoal too.

We have been pushing for these wheels to be made for more than a decade & finally
it has happened.

It covers the group Nb race cars & also the road cars as in theory we are only allowed to go
one inch over a standard 4.5 " cooper S rim.

It should fit both 145 & 165 tyres & you won't have the hassle of the wheel/tyre combination
fouling in the front under flair area due to the offset, unlike the current UK/Chinese 10x6" rims.

Thanks
AB

Will these wheels fit under standard arches with cooper S discs? Or will you need to fit cooper s wheel archees or similiar?

How do they fit at the rear?? I have just found out that 165 Falkens fitted to LS style factory 10s rub badly on the shocks (even with S stepped drums).

Cheers, Ian

Ian I reckon it's just your tyres. Falken FK07E have a wider section width and baggier sidewall than any other 165/70-10.
Btw the 998LS only got 145-10s back then with your 10x5 wheels.

Good luck.

Reproducing something rare may not make commercial sense, (economy of scale) as FNQ has said, the minilite style is a proven success and just looks right, on a mini! The final detail on these is IMO the best looking of this style. The best thing about this new wheel is its 5.5" tyre holding ability and lightweight. Also i think youll find the price very attractive!

I understand they will be under $700 per set
I would recommend getting them from your preferred mini specialist if you want/need advice on your application.
No they will be in full producion and available soon.
Cheers Ben.

These will fit pretty much any application on the rear.
These are the same width and offset as the ones i fabrictaed on my Nb car and I have spax shocks, minifin drums, (identical thickness to S cast iron) and even with a few mm toe out they dont rub. I have a few small rubber witness marks on the rear of the inner wheel arch but this would have been from 10 years of racing it on super sticky days (on hoosiers) cornering as hard as I can, so if you are going to exceed this tyre deflection then maybe a small 3mm spacer but I could never imagine anywhere near this on a road car. I have never marked a tyre or heard anything so this mark could have been caused by pickup running off the edge of the Hoosier or when I sometimes use 5" rims, that allow more tyre defletion.
Again consult your mini guy if you think you may exceed this grip and deflection and think this may be a problem?
cheers Ben

Apologies as it appears the pricing is not yet set on these wheels. It will be soon enough.
The intention is still to be less than most/all similar wheels currently available.
Cheers Ben

Here's another pic. Nice wheels.

It was interesting at Warwick last weekend that none of the Nb minis were running the Contessa wheels they traditionally run. I guess the risk of them cracking is too much these days. There were a few with these Dave Armstrong 10x5.5 wheels and the other cars were Nc class so they ran wider offsets.

It will be great to have another option for wheels when not running flares.
