Hi everyone,

I need help.

I have pulled the engine bay wiring apart because the previous owner was a HACK and the wiring was dangerous.
I have everything else worked out except for 2 brown wires and 1 brown/red wire that are from the engine bay wiring loom.

The car had a newer engine installed in it by the previous owner - which is a 1275cc from 1990 onwards.
Any MPI/SPI is gone and it runs a carby now - also done by the previous owner.

What I know about the wiring is:

One of the Brown wires and the Brown/Red wire go to a Relay - that is located on the firewall close to the drivers side.
The ends of these wires are at the front of the car - no connectors - they are cut.

The other Brown wire (I believe) connects the starter solenoid to the Ignition.

I have looked at many diagrams and manuals and I can't see anything similar. I have also looked at SPI to Carb pages for ideas.

Jason.

This is an image that I have found which looks close to what I want BUT it isn't in line with the relay wiring.

Currently the Brown and Brown/Red wires are connected to the relay.

The diagram shows that:
- the brown wire connects from the Starter to the Fuse box.
- the Brown/Red wire connects from the Starter to the Relay
- a Brown wire connects from the Relay to the Fuse box

I could do this by removing the current Brown wire from the Relay and connect it to the Fuse box.

But then... what fuse/link would I use?

Jason

1 Brown wire goes from the Starter solenoid to Starter Relay
The other Brown wire goes from the Starter solenoid to Ignition
The Brown/Red wire goes from the Starter solenoid to Starter Relay

Done.
