I filled up the car (and met the usual random person who used to own a mini) and drove it to work. It's nice to have some sun after all the recent rain!

Fitted a new jet earlier in the week and stupidly didn't measure it beforehand.
Spent all weekend quadruple checking other changes I'd made before discovering the jet is too big.
What size jet should a 1.5in SU be running?

A 1.5" SU runs a .090" jet.
A 1.75" SU runs a .100" jet.
They look the same externally except for colour. You will never get it right with a .100" main jet in it.

Kit was purchased and claims to suit 1 1/4 and 1 1/2.
It gets hard trying to support Australian suppliers when you continuously have issues with hem.

What colour should they be? The old one is black and the replacement was black as well?

Well in the old days with original SU parts the .090" was red and the .100" one black ( I think). Maybe different story now.
If you can fit a 2.5mm or 3/32" drill in there, it's a .100" jet.

Picked my 9FXEY short engine from HM Gem today. All new bearings, rings, minor repair crank at balancer key way. All parts from MKOL Now to attack the gearbox.
