Interesting Arvo!
Was chatting to a colleague (Art teacher), who was telling me all about her Mums mini that needs a Hydro pump up. I said that is something I could help with when she let slip that her Mum originally had a mini she was doing up before purchasing the one she now has (ears ning nong up!!!!). On giving her a buzz I know its round nose, with a good body, she has starting taking things off of it and rubbing back. Wasnt able to tell me a year or model, but did say that she purchased an engine from brickworx racing about 10 yrs ago (unleaded head) which goes with it (not fitted). Safe to say I am heading out to her place after work tonight for a looksie. Is not alot of money as she is only after what she has in it.
Is kind of exciting not knowing what model it is, will keep you all posted once i know more! It is only 10kms from me aswell :-)

Some people have all the luck. Only 10 kms from you!

Good luck.

Is apparently in pieces, but that saves me pulling it apart :-) And should be able to see body condition a bit better

I like it when these things pop up. let us know how you go. We who cannot pick up a new mini can live vicariously through your loins.

Just got back from purchasing the mini! Is a morris mini deluxe according to plate and badges (not sure on year), has YMA2S2 on the plate and the number of 35933 I/clay beige original colour. Everything is there is bits plus a few extras!! look at the dust, lol
Seems to have larger fuel tank, has wooden dash in good nic, original wheel and horn push (has a spare in the parts aswell!). Correct me if im wrong but are they Cooper s wheels? set of four (what are they worth?), came with engine out of car which came from brickworx racing 10 to 15 yrs ago!.
Will need passenger front floor pan replaced and a few holes (nothing too bad), so quite happy on the rust front. She began sanding and taking things apart 10-15 yrs ago and found a going mini which she still has (not for sale, I asked, lol) Interior is red in colour, all there. Will be a great project after the mini k is started/ finished, lol!

awesome, they will probably end up for sale as its not a cooper s! I think I will have to jack up the back and wedge some wood in there so the wheels dont rub on the gaurds when trying to move it. what year would it be with the numbers 35933 (YMA2S2), I have worked out thats its morris mini deluxe, just trying to see what year?
Cheers,
Steve

I will take a stab and say it was built late 1968.
The wipers changed sides at car number 32800 around the middle of 68.
A bit of info here. viewtopic.php?t=74269
