Had just over an hours drive the other day to get the mini to Minisport to do a few things on the car whilst we are interstate. Got there ok and pulled the bonnet and found a trickle of green coolant coming out of the welsh plug on the clutch side of the motor. Another job to put on the list !
Just so glad it didn't blow on the highway or at Birdwood the week before, you just have to be lucky sometimes. :P

Yesterday: Tie bar bushes and finally fitted and wired the oldish-school VDO Tach.

Today: Fitted the column drop bracket, new clutch slave and hose, and made a new hard line for the clutch as well.

Then took it for a bit of a longer test drive than usual :-)

Sent the Mk2 engine to the local engine recon shop. Found out it,s a 1310. Might look for a set of 1 1/2" carbies.

Did an oil and filter change in the 850.
Dropped the bottom hose and did a cooling system flush, and replaced with new coolant (was mostly tap water previously, and very dirty at that!)
Replaced the engine side steady rubber.

Such a sweet little car to drive. Absolutely zero power, but so much enjoyment all the same!

Filled out my new RMS trial `logbook', then drove it down the road and filled up with BP's Ultimate goodness. :)
The old juice was getting a bit stale.

Went down rta got my rego papers Passed rego gotta wait a week till I can pay the greenslip cant pay it until its 42 days before the rego date for some reason even though I went with gio last year as well

Best thing is I don't have to go back to the rta after the green slips paid if i dont want to pension rego automatically gets done after the green slips done so they reckon but ill be going back to get the paper printed with a date I don't trust government computers

I had a nice shock about 3 months ago where centrefucked forgot to stop one of my payments 3 years ago and tried to get me to pay back the debt well they owed me after there 2 month investigation and I didn't owe them a cent
