Just looking for a little advice from those in the know regarding recommended setup for my mini.

I have a 1275 1100S motor, bored to 1380 with wade 140 cam, 1.7 Roller rockers, highly ported and polished head, goes well and is a very well put together engine. I have a 45 weber ready to go on it but require some decent extractors and a new fuel pump.

I am considering a silvertop facet pump with a malpassi fuel pressure reg/filter and have been recommended a maniflow stage 2 LCB with the wider chambered centre pipe. http://minisport.com.au/mini-lcb-stage-2-extractora-with-special-centre-pipea-maniflow These extractors are for a medium bore as far as I read, but I have seen these http://www.maniflow.co.uk/index.php?view=product&product=1119 on the Maniflow website for large bore.

I would possibly like to do hill climbs, and a little track time in the future however I am ideally using this as a fast road setup for weekend drives.

My questions are

1 - Is the fuel pump overkill for my requirements?
2 - Is it necessary for a pressure regulator? (Some have said the needle in the weber will hold the pump pressure ok)
3 - The engine as a 1330 pumped out 85bhp, so is it likely this set up would get above 100bhp, hence needing the largebore LCB's?

Any other recommendations would be appreciated too.

Fuel pump is definitely overkill. By my rough calculations you'll need about a quarter to a third of the flow rate that a silvertop puts out and you need it at half the pressure it produces. The SU pump that Minisport have would be my choice if you're looking for a good quality pump

Else Supercheap have a little Goss pump which produces about 4.5 PSI for 120 odd litres per hour which would also be fine but you would still probably want a reg in line to knock it down to 3 odd PSI.

Extractors are going to be a compromise given your cam and head and road driving. Smaller bore extractors should be much better for the road as the engine should come 'on cam' sooner because of the higher speed gas flow but they will more than likely run out off puff before you get to the maximum theoretical power. Larger bore extractors will be the opposite - less low speed torque but a better top end. But there are lots of factors at play and the only definitive way to know would be to test them back to back on an engine dyno (or worst case a chassis dyno with a knowledgeable operator)... If you're serious about racing then I'd be organising a dyno session but if you're doing it more for fun (no objections here ) then take a punt. You can always change them later

I'm running a med bore Maniflow LCB on my 1360. I did put a 2" system in from there back.
It makes 125+ HP at the crank @ 7000+ rpm with an RE282 cam.
I also ran this same system on my 1412 stroker, which made 113HP at the crank @ 6500 and 112 ft/lb torque, with an RE13 cam.
IMO for road use, you do not want or need anything bigger.

Fuel pumps- I use a Facet square electronic one, no regulator. 3 or 4 psi I think.
The 45 Dellorto handles its output pressure fine, a Weber would too.
I use a glass cased filter at the carby.
