I have just been playing with mine, converting the chassis (just the front half), to the new pro ver2 style so that I can run a square battery pack. This way I only have one type of battery.

However, I need to apologise to you Simon. I'm actually running yellow springs on the front and red on the rear. Keeping it nice and soft. I spent a lot of time playing with different combos before settling on this set up.

no need to apologise Ryan :)

watch out for the gap in the chassis - on top of the right hand chassis half - in front of the what I'd call the "steering crossmember" - where the steering posts mount

Yeh, spotted that straight away even before assembly. At first I thought it was broken. I plugged it up with some blue tak before assembly, Ill also put some tape over it before i take it to the track. Really disappointed. I'll be using M03 battery holders to accommodate the square pack because I don't like messing around with battery tapes.

Finally had a chance to test the car out with the new chassis. It doesn't feel any different which is a good thing. I love having just one style of battery for both my cars. I came out in from as I sold the old stick pack for way more than the cost of the chassis. :P

Mini Nats this weekend! Still time to enter! I'm running a weapon M05 V2 owned and built by NT as I'm 'between' m-chassis at the moment. You're a champ, NT!

I haven't driven my m05 for a while, l ended up joining Penrith district nitro racing, l race 10th scale on road and 1/8GT class Tuesday nights, having a ball and learning heaps, but tonight I'm off to rc arena at gladesville to try the indoor carpet track should be fun, l had a go at a 12th scale electric there before, the track has stupid amounts of grip great fun, unfortunately they don't have a mini class :(
