Not mini related but moke related.
Stripped back the ute bed liner i painted on the moke as it was starting to flake, under the bed liner there were 4-5 different colors.

Edit: Also installed a bigger compressor for the train horn.

Fitted my rear flares.
So now I have flares all around and its sitting on all mambas for good.
Love the stance it's got now.
Need to lower it slightly but will leave that for another weekend.
Rego this week then Picnic at Ross car show this coming Sunday!
Over 600 classic cars. Which is a big event for tassie!

Cheers, Rhys

Found what appears to be a reconditioned MK1 head in my Dads shed. Totally forgot I had it.

Well I was planning on firing up my car and going for a spin around the block but nearly 10 years of storage has not been good to the old girl.
Head gasket has leaked into no 3 cylinder filled the sump with 1 litre of coolant. Rear wheel cylinders leaking and brake hoses closed up.

Put some insulation/sound deadening under the bonnet.
Now I can run my stereo at 10 instead of 12, so it must be working.

That's really sweet !
While I love my roundy, I have always hankered for a "modern" (clubman) mini.

Lifted the bonnet... Looked at the oil leaks... Closed the bonnet... Took a good long look at the flippin' dog that costs me a fortune in vets bills... Cried for a bit...
