And my 65 smooth roof van.
Now I have to clean the shed up a bit and finish the body work of the clubby van. Its gotta go to make room for these.

Fired up the 1377 stroker for the 1st time in Laingy's van, a couple of years since the motor was built & dynoed.
It sounds real sweet. :)

Pulled the garage to pieces, much stuff being turfed out to make some room in there for mini work. Its been cheek by jowl for months!

Hey that green one looks like it's had a "Holden conversion" on the windows, before the Oz wind ups were introduced there was a kit (or a mob doing it, not 100% sure) going around to put Holden quarter vents on a mini, looks like one of those, nice period mod score! 8)

cheers,

Jacob

Are you sure? Looks like sliding windows to me with the rear window slid all the way forward and the draught seal is making it look like it has a quarter window. However I would like to see this holden quarter window mod if anyone has a pic

Motodevo, you are correct. Sliding windows with the rear one all the way forward. That much grime and silt it isnt going to move in a hurry either.

There is a WHOLE lot of stuff in that shed!
I've decided that I dont need to clean my shed anymore.

Pulled the dials out of the dash to replace a globe for the indicator light in the dash. Replaced the bulb but still didn't work!! Other dash lights work fine just the but now both indicator dash lights not working!!! Back to the drawing board, think it might be a bad connection from the circuit to the globe holder looks like I'll have to pull it out properly for a better look :-(

Fitted the headers and mini spares inlet manifold. What a pita to fit surley it would have only taken a few minutes to modify the moulds so you can get a small socket on the 3rd stud from the left. I adjusted it with a die grinder.

Socket is tight and just comes off. I will buy a cheap one and turn it down in the lathe to make it fit nicely.

This should be filed under "What did you do TO your Mini today" but..

I dropped a grease gun while restructuring the workshop, and put a 1 inch scratch down the front guard

Is that all? I had one where the studs were 3mm> with respect to the ports. We had to TIG weld one end of the flanges to build them up, then mill all the flange ends and slots again.
WHY cannot people machine new things properly....
