Thanks for the feedback so far, keep it coming

Whilst I have a thread going, I'll ask a question of you knowledgeable people about the chrome trim. The trim is rolled up atm and I needs to be straightened out, what's the best method for straitening out this trim? oven? hair dryer? or do I need heat gun? (ive seen em pretty cheap at supercheap)

Cheers
Mark

Hair drier/heat gun could/should technically work, but it's nigh on impossible to do without overheating and melting the trim (IMHO).

Best technique I've found is clipping it onto the steel edge of the gutter on my house. Sunny day, couple hours, job done. Whip it off, onto the car (which has also been sitting in the sun) straight away with no other heat source needed. When it cools it cools to shape so no tension.

ok cool thanks for the tips on the trim, if this bloody rain ever stops will give it a try...

btw, if you are wondering, i didnt put the two different rims on to compare, I took the dark ones to get rubber put on (have been driving it around since rego'd with silver ones on), they put the front on ok but turns out the dark ones don't sit properly at the back and need a 3mm spacer to stop it rubbing on the inside, so they are ordering one in for me (hence dark front and silver back).

Seems to be pretty 50/50 on the rims, so when I advertise it online i'll put pics of both up I think.

Thanks again
Mark
