Yes it does fit. This one was previously in Barney's 1098 motor.
Need to drill the shaft smaller to suit the A+ pin, or bush the shaft back as I had to, if it's been in an A series.
Only other mod is 5 mins with a square file to remove the 3 little fins on the outside of the casting, then the A+ clamp will fit like stock.

Had it running, it starts better and sounds crisper.
Plugs gaps are now .035".
I'll go for a drive to Pie in the Sky tomorrow- the battery is past it so I've got to get another one first.

Other wise she's running back to his mormal self and does seam back to the power he had before Kazjims Garage sale..this when he started over heating..so I think the Gasket has been going for a while :!:
So in fact..I think I should have more BHP than the 45.2 at the dyno day..Sorry Josh
Oil Presure is 1/2 at idle and 3/4 while driving...Temp is low but that what it was prior to the over heatiing problems..I think its the gaudge :!:

Its funny how you can feel the power differance..so this is why I asked if the power was better..let us know

Just got back from Cowan.. came back up the freeway all the way from Brooklyn.
It's a lot smoother, pulls better, revs better, I can't think of any reason why I'd want a Lucas dizzy ever again!! 8)

A+ motor is a development of the A series. Made in UK. Used from 1979 (approx) on.
Very similar in design to A series, but the block is a bit lighter and has ribs on the outside for strength. Most internals are similar design, the main external difference is the dizzy mounting. It sits straight in the block. There's no flange thingy (like yours) and it has a finger clamp instead of a split clamp plate.

See my 2 pics above.

Last of the 1275 Mokes here had them. There was also a 998 A+, and a 1098 A+ in UK (yes, true..)

Nope it's designed to not have a sleeve. The drive dog is different too, and the driveshaft below it.
But, the dizzy body is the same size and length as A series. Fits right in there, once you change the dog and get the clamp fork to fit.

I think it was gareth_1330 who said that, and he did sell quite a few. So much so that he denuded the countryside around Sydney of Nissan Pulsar N12 dizzys..!

No problem for me to convert one, IF you can find one!
You need a D4R83 or D4R85 from an N12 Pulsar or Holden Astra (with 1.6L Nissan motor). And an old Lucas dizzy to donate its drive dog.
