sorry i couldn`t find my old post about these plenums so i`ve fired up this one

Anyways--> Here`s some pics of the Plenum chambers nearly finished, all welded now but need to pressure test & linish back some welds & pollish them all nice & shiney :-)

we have made quite a few (as you can see) & there are another pile of them being done at the moment too,,, so, apart from all the oil drains & all the oil fillers & all the oil-feed hoses & all the turbo housings being made/welded/modified,,, well,,, we are getting there.

However--> if anyone thinks all these Custom , one-off, hand-Made Twin-Cam things are quick & simple to make then maybe you should try making 14x of everything , every one of them mostly different to the next, with very little money after a series of heart attacks & a stroke with no insurance ,,, yes it was only 5 days earlier that i decided to swap over insurers & i got caught with the heart attacks inbetween cancelling one & signing the next... yes i know & you`re right... it`s not a pretty position to be in at all,,, not one bit... add in a year & a half of rehab & physio for every ribn broken in 3 ploaces & 8x ribs dislocated from my backbone (have a go at that y friends) You may then start to understand the reasons why how slow the whole lot is going yeah???

sorry, but i`ve maybe not made things too clear to some people about how bad things have been these last few years,,,& then add to all that (as if that isn`t bad enough) my dad hasn`t been well either with very similar problems to myself,,, not to mention our dogs (our kids) are really really bad right now too , can barely walk now the pair of em.

So , yeah blah blah blah right??? some would say to harden the F up right?? but time really does get away with all this un-important stuff like health & family & life & breathing & such... yeah?

If it wasn`t for some very very good friends i wouldn`t even be this far into the 14 x twin-cam engines & 5x other 5-port mini engines that i`m currently building for people.

So--> to the people who think they can do this better & quicker & are all high & mighty-->please try to understand ,,, put yourself in my position now yeah????? I`m getting there ok?.

maybe see some of you at the Mt Cotton hillclimb this weekend hey???

There are actually more than 6 different designs Kenno, the rest are still being made-up
there are many different ways to stuff a chicken & "Horses for courses" basically :-)
different cars-> roundys/mokes/Clubbys,
different set-ups->Front mount/side mount intercoolers
Plus different looks to suit all of the above
not to mention my own personal set-up :-)

so,,, yes , to quote an old TV advert-> "This goes with that at Susan"
& these are all custom made to suit each of those different applications

Is that one you're holding in the 3rd pic down for a roundy with an intercooler Matt? looks trick!

Hope all the health and real life stuff sorts it self out quickly, sounds like you've had a rough trot.

All things are subject to impermanence, health (good or bad), life, attitudes, money... The only thing that remains in the end is a head full of memories... so make sure you're building the best ones you can. Family (especially dogs :) ) come first. Everyone else can eat a dick, they're not the ones you want to be worrying about when its all over.

Righto enough touchy feely spiritual crap :)

Those Plenums look awesome! The 14 you mentioned, are they customers orders or are they stock? Are you in the process of stocking up or are you still only doing them by demand? We need to know these details so we can send the work your way Matt, twin cam conversions are gaining more and more momentum all the time as the best means of getting more grunt.

.... Any chance you'll be down in Byron over summer? :D

are any of the runners belmouthed or radius-ed, or was that too difficult to do, really interesting to see :) 4 of those have a flat plate where the runners meet, i would weld and radius the runners to the flat piece before welding the plate in, but im pedantic with my builds.
