You need the anti drain back valve on the gti though.

I use the Z418. I thought that was the correct one...

Z418 is fine. I buy the Wix WL7098 from Karcraft by the dozen, it's way cheaper than getting ripped on Ryco prices.

Ryco filters are made in China now, I'd sooner trust Wix (US company, but made in Poland).

the original MG Rover filters are made in Poland, too. if someone wanted to know that

The Z418 has one, it's needed for the Toyota motors (Camry, RAV4, etc) as they have a horizontal filter position too. Note that this is not the original Ryco filter spec'd for the A Series, Ryco stopped making them and this part is common as dirt & more than fits the bill.
