Aren't you going to use the cover panel (spit hole) in the firewall?

I was going to plate it over with some grommets for the lines and wires to come through.

Changed my mind and went the opposite direction for the front/ rear brake lines so now they come out of the side hole. That way they won't get caught up in wires etc. neater that way.

The reasons the bends are all over the place is to get the length of tube correct before the flare so the tool will fit the tube and nut in it. Still doesn't look too ugly especially when it's all clipped up correctly.

Clears the carbs too

Also got my speedo, it's an acewell brand digital dash. Does everything I need it to.

It's slowly becoming a car again!

Just curious, what are your thoughts on turbo after you get off your P's :?: or is this a high comp engine?

I've been off my p's for a couple of weeks now so not an issue.

Turbo might come if I get sick of 130hp and want 250.. But then it needs alot of work.. Including fuel injection. But wel see how long it takes me to get bored with it.. I just want to drive it!

That's good to here about the gauge, was hoping it would be nice and accurate

Made a new mount for the reservoirs today after the last one fouled on the wiper motor.

Also mounted and plumbed the remote oil filter an started clipping all the lines up.

Anyone know I place where you can get brake like clips? Ie that hold a couple of brake lines and then have a hole in the middle to bolt through? Not talking about p clips..

You could probably find the clips you want at the wreckers. Don't know if you would find them new except maybe from a dealership if you know a car that has what you want. Maybe a hardware store?

I have a question for you though, are you running an air filter? Or just some socks? I thought you might need an enclosed filter, like an air box or similar to pass engineering, but there is obviously no room with your placement of the resevoirs and the bonnet hinge.

Will try and get away with pipercross socks however I was told I might have to if the induction noise is too much. If so Be a box that feeds from the front so should be doable in that space. Fed by a BMW mini scoop

Wired in and tested my acewell dash today, looks cool! Also tested my gauge loom which worked perfectly!

Why is there a hole in the bonnet and strengthening missing?

And today being most people's return to work my mates at the fabrication shop down the road were back open so I could buy some sheet metal to build some panels patch some holes and do some interesting things with the bonnet (but I won't show that until I'm confident it looks good)

In the process of making something.
