Got my proper radiator pipes, I also made some extractors, the stock ones are ok and fit but they look crap.. These probably wont flow any better but I don't like having modified everything else and then just fugly exhaust pipes..

Tacked up

And made

Started running out of argon towards the end of making them so they Aren't as pretty as I would of liked!

I also wanted to start on my pedal box mounting but couldn't get the steel I need until next week... Doing a bit of v8 ute testing and racing from
Now on so progress may slow over the coming months but I still want it done early next year..

Nice work Meeni.

Where did you get the flanges, or did you make them as well?

Local steel supplier made the main flange using a gasket and the other two as well as all the bends were bought from an exhaust shop

Started working on my brake setup thi weekend, frees up a lot of space in the engine bay, does take away some dash space! Now, people will say, you can't run master cylinders in the car.. Yes you can, just need to be filled from an external area, which is easy. The other problem people have with brake modification is Modufying the mounts for the pedal box and pedals is not recommended, our interpretation of that is that so long as the mounting is the same and you can retain strength and still meet the pressure requirements, you have no problem! my setup uses the exact same mounting holes as the original pedal box therefore does not seem to bother my engineer..

Anyway here's where I'm at so far, note to anyone who wants this setup, major dash mods are needed, and a standard flat dash won't fit.

Mounting is made from 5mm angle, 32mmx5mm flat plate, and 5mm plate, it's basic, but is thicker then standard obviously.. Angle forms a cradle to house the pedal box from tilton. I'm going to add a front piece to replace the steering bracket mount and attach the whole lot to the lower dash panel in meeni, which I can't do now as my mock up car is a rover and has the cut out dash floor.

Oh and the only reason that front bit is cut is because I couldn't be stuffed drilling out the torque bolts on the old pedal box, when I fit it to meeni I won't be as rough and ready

Pedal position is similar to standard, slightly to the left but essentially the same..

Cheers

Sean

Are you using a std mini steering column? If so are you sure the pedals wont hit it?

Even with the column angled to the right and the pedal at full height?
Theo only reason I ask is when I built my buggie the mini pedal box was moved to the left (same as you have done) and when the pedal is down it's fine but when the pedal is up it just scrapes the column. No problem with a steel pedal in a buggie, just heat and bend the pedal but I don't think you'd want to do that to your nice new pedals. Just double checking everything is sweet.

Yeah I was worried about it but stuck one in there and it was ok, it's close but the spacing is larger between the two pedals then the mini so works out fine.

Will the dash rail be cut when it goes into meeni, or just the shelf?
