How about 155HP @ 6500 rpm on the dyno with approx 13lb boost :) :) :) :) :)
142.8 ft/lb torque @ 4500 rpm

Jebus!

Had a problem with the Megajolt? It appears to be OK at low RPM with the Megajolt reading 20deg advance and the timing light showing 20deg but at high RPM the MegaJolt was showing 31 deg and the Timing light was showing 41deg

this might sound like a dumb question, but did you hit the "commit to flash" button in the megajolt configurator program? if you do a download, but don't commit it to flash, then the changes aren't saved when the ignition is switched off. It'll do something as you describe, the software on the PC will show one map and advance, but the megajolt is running something else.

Hi Simon, Not such a dumb question as I did forget to commit when first doing the changes but then we worked out what was needed and all OK after that.
It appears to be more related to the type of timing light which was picking up the wasted spark.

Fitted the engine into the car. Was a tight fit and took a few in and outs to finally get space beside the radiator and the engine mounts lined up but all good now.

Looks to be a tight fit under the bonnet but will need to wait a few weeks before I can tackle that issue.

I agree BINI blower looks good, pity the manifold they sell for it in UK is absolute crap, flow wise.
See GR for an improved design one.

Eaton (M45)

Quote:
AS it's name suggests, and like the Shorrocks C75 series, the Eaton M45 displaces 45cu ins/rev or 750cc.

Quote:
The supercharger is a Roots-type blower, manufactured by Eaton to BMW's specifications. (on a BINI) It turns 2.06 times engine speed, which works out to 14317 rpm at the 6950 rpm rev limiter

There are a number of UK supercharcher kits and I think the VMAXSCART kit which I have purchased does flow OK. The inlet from the supercharcher is biased to one side so the flow into both head ports is equal.
GR checked it out and didn't say any thing too negative about the kit
The main concern I have is the long input from the carby which ices up

Which version of the M45 are you using?

There are upto three variants from the MINIs, the early high torque one, the later high power one (with ceramic coated vanes) and the replacement JCW one.
