the Suzi motor & box will weigh in at a bit more than the brick donk tho

it`s deceiving how heavy there are really,,,the block is alloy, yeah,,,but the head is huge & 2 cams & big manifold & big box & & & & & & &

we weighed it all up in Stews car from peachester & admittedly he`s runni9ng a turbo as well, but it`s come up way heavier than the std mini donk

don`t be fooled just because the block & head is alloy :-)

Miniman are you sure about the weights. Con indicated that the G13B with gearbox was just under 100kgs, the Starlet according to brad is 118kgs and the A donk is 156kgs. Anybody have a different view??

Cheers

Matt

Oh!!!,,,ministar,,,As i said with Stu`s "Suzi mini" it`s ended up heavier than a std mini power plant because of all the other details like subframe strengthening, engine mounts, cross bracings, all other fabricated stuff "PLUS" the turbo & manifolds, intercooler, oil cooler

want a picy???

here you go--->

ah!!!,,,something is wrong with my site??????????????

hee hee

sorry guys,,,just that my web site disapeared for a while there & i had a little "moment"

Image

&

Image

& sorry if i sounded like i was saying that the Suzi donk itself was heavier,,,it`s just that with all the other related mounting hardware & coolers & turbos & manifolds & valves (pop off & waste gate) & heavier subframes & heavy arse motha F`ker holden Comodore disc brake assys etc etc etc,,,, Stu`s mini is simply """WAY""" heavier than a std brick up front.

he`s done lots & lots to try to counteract all the exccess weight, but still not enough to bring it back to std mini weight

so,,,these are very old pics, i will have more "newer" ones for you all soon enough :-)

soon,,,soon,,,yeah i know,,,i`m allways sayin soon :-)

hee hee...yeah well...the power he`s aiming for then traction will definately be a problem :-)

& yeah , he did have it going a while ago but with the old (non-approved) subframe,,,he`s now got it all apart again & is finishing up the new (approved) subframe

so ,,,knowing him,,,he`ll be a while getting her going again but i`d expect that it`ll be all sorted on this build,,,he`s done enough time on the Biatch now & i`m figuring he`s gettin all jittery & anxious now,,,dam i wanna have a spin in her yet :-)

he`s gone way past the term "mod" in my books,,,he may as well have build a car from scratch instead of "moddifying" a mini :-) if you get my drift,,,there`s not really much "mini" left :-)

Very interesting :)
but that would be for a stock S15, what about if the S15 had 276rwhp? huh? ;)

What about those rwd Hyabusa Turbo engined minis:
http://forums.ausmini.com/viewtopic.php?t=6496&sid=967c5bfa9f2e8e4a55e9eb91178612f8

400hp / 650 kg (1430lbs) = 0.28

I WANT ONE :!:

Lets see six and a half thousand pounds DIY, that's only about $20,000
All I need is another $18,500 - better check down the back of the couch
