Are the Honda motors still very expensive? They were a lot more expensive than the Toyota's when I was looking at starting my conversion.. Then the added cost of turboing. Would be one very impressive machine though

looks like the sets from mini tec are... but I have to admit, i haven't looked into half cuts.

I just like them... but, it sounds as though they are too wide???

Honda make great engines. Would love to drive one to compare to the 4EFTE.

I think apart from the width you might want to look at the weight and the distribution as well. I believe they are substantially heavier than an A-Series

Oh yeah,,, all the people who "Think" they`re lighter,,, well best think again

they`re a damn big "Package"

remember it`s all a package,,, the alloy engine block may weigh less,,, but there`s a hell of a lot more involved than just a block

the width of the things is pretty wide, the height of the things are pretty tall, the weight of the whole package is heavy, the wires & dash & box & axles & brakes need to be bigger & the wheels need to be bigger for the ratios to work (or "Make" a pinion/mainshaft & crown-wheel) the balance of it is upset & the handling is disturbed

that niffty little dancing & fling-ablity of the std mini Package is pretty damn hard to beat

But ,,, in saying all that, we`re still doin it :-) --->(for Robbo that is,,, if i had one i`d probably put it in the back & turbo the damn thing :-)

Yes, just for the originality. If you want a 4EFTE buy a toyota. But i still enjoy a good conversion :D
