Is that this one? http://www.mpdesign.id.au/engineconversion/start.htm

And my problem was i started with a bare shell, rather than buying a good runner, getting it 4efte'd and then tart it up a bit with coilovers and the like. Itll cost more but at least youve got something to look at.

Once its in paint ill fly through it i hope lol, most of the money has been spent on it, will be great when its done.

Yeah, that's the one. I'm halfway through reading it now. I've contacted mimimetoy about his round nose conversion but he seems to have gone to ground.

But you came so far! Most of the work seemed to be done!

I found a "how to" document on the web for GT Starlet conversions in a mini. I could send that to you if it helps re-motivate you!

I am keen to do one of these myself but am disheartened that i never get to see any finished projects

Mine was registered in May 2009!... Its off the road now getting a turbo upgrade, but it has been running without major problems for over 2 years... Not daily mind you, but it definitely gets a hard time.

13secmini was the first in 2004 - it's still going strong
Mine was first registeredd in 2007
Dan's (minmetoy) was completed around the same time
BigBad (Baracade) was completed as well around that time
Minstar also has his still going i think

There are a few - but they are still quite a rare beast :)

Plus 92 and Pubudug's down in Adelaide.

There are a few running around. You might have to trawl through the archives of this forum to find them, as you tend not to spend so much time on the computer when you have a completed conversion sitting in the garage!! :D

Ben actually fabricated my subframe originally.
