I would imagine bloody good flow from that bad boy.......... cutting holes in the firewall will be a necessity though... 8)

At 5" long, you will need body surgery to fit it with a filter.

My Russell Eng one is that length and I've now taken it off. Don't want to move the speedo..
I've gone back to the ported out Redline 3005.

I've heard that MiniSpares manifold is nothing special- the Maniflow steel one available there is better, but costs more $$$.
At least with this one, you get a linkage kit though!

thats what i was thinking. do u think i could just smack the firewall with the hammer a few time to make it fit. i don't care what it looks like.

Umm... No

With this bad boy you'll be running no filter and still require cutting of the "speedo" hole to fit it. I've seen it installed on Mini Haha and it's tight! You'll need to build a special air box and either move the speedo back or move it to be infront of the steering wheel or something like that.

I have read good things about the maniflow shorter type one, I'd be looking into that for a road car... Any idea how much the maniflow one costs?

HAHA!
Webers are SO not designed for Minis.
But they obviously work wonders :)

See Like I said Bugger all room, and that's without a filter and a bit of custom "remodelling" of the firewall!

The GR one is worth $260 new. It's been to Wakefield Pk and back, once.
I might sell it, dunno yet. Gafmo has 1st dibs.

I don't think that 3.75" MiniSpares would flow as well as a Redline, which you can buy here off the shelf for $160 approx... much less if you find a s/h one. You might get lucky and find one with a Weber or Dellorto attached..
My 1310 spun to 8,000 pretty well with the Redline, but it is heaps big inside after 9 hrs metal removal..

Question: is the warneford one that I have now exactly the same as the standard redline 3005? or are there slight differences (in terms of the throat of the intakes) Which is better if they are different??

Absolutely the same. Really needs porting to run a 45 properly, on a big motor.

Redline is staying on this car, not for sale.
You can get new Redline 3005 from http://www.redlineauto.com.au/
They deliver to you, fast and cheap!
