Has anyone seen one before, what engines were they fitted to?

A bit of digging found this -
12 G 201 (24, 7cc), ideal with flat pistons. This cylinder was mounted with large valves on the old 1100cc (sprite, ado16).

Its on a 998 engine thats for sale on Ebay at the moment. Cant say I have ever seen one. Thought it could be of one of the 1980s UK built 850 engines or a A+ 998

If it's that new, why has it got the old spring clip collets (and therefore early valves)?

maybe it's been rebuilt with old style valves?

the logo on it gives a pretty clear way to date it, not that I know what that date would be
