This list is a work in progress, but I won't get a chance to do more on it for a while so I'll post it as it and update later. Nearly everything on this list has been fitted to my 1969 Aussie built deluxe, and the result is that my life would've been far easier if I just bought a 90s rover and fitted mk1 tail lights and japanese stick on external hinges. :D

Nine times out of ten I'd recommend staying with things how the car was built, as even the smallest and simplest of rover parts can be a headache to fit into a mk1 body.

Great list.

Rover bonnet will fit straight onto the Clubman hinges but you will need to replace the Clubman guards with a round nose.
In other words the hinge spacing for the rover bonnet is the same as the hinge spacing for the Clubman bonnet. The hinges are also the same as the Clubman, they may need to be bent slightly to fit.

WOW... that is a great comparison. I tip my hat to anyone that goes to the effort of doing these new school conversions on an old school Minis. I just went Rover. I love the old school look with the new school bits already there.

Thanks Harley.

That list is really helpful. As a newbie in the middle of restoring a mini, trying to figure out what matches what, I'll keep coming back to this list.

Cheers, Matt.
