Hi All

need to know how did you install your air filter with an 4EFTE and std turbo, if you can load pictures will be great!

This is exactly what i was thinking the other day..

I had plans to have the air filter sitting in front of the turbo manifold.

I think Jame's had a ramflow coming directly off the turbo next to the standard intake pipe. I was planning on running the pipe under the standard intake pipe (similar to the standard air filter) but stopping in the middle. Then adding a ramflo type filter behind the grill.

BUT.. having a look at your build. There doesnt seem to be much space as you have the FMIC sitting there. You could adopt the other method of running the pipe across to the other side of the engine bay and having the filter where the original mini radiator used to sit. Refer to Hallseys build.

and is a fairly neat fit hope that helps

if you're looking for a neat compact air filter box, the best I found was from a Hyundai Getz. Basically I searched on the ryco website and found the smallest filter, then got Repco to tell me what it suited...

Mine was a matter of reserve capacity, flow rate and ram-air :roll:
Plus I had some alloy sheet left over... :D
