from melbourne. Had a bit of a read through some conversion posts and looks pretty involved. Might go the easier route and stay with the A series engines?

best to give the A series for a while, do a conversion when you have a few years and $10k spare

Build the car you want with all of the flahsy bolt on bits like adjustable suspension, big brakes and all that, then stick a 4efte in it for 10 grand.
Doing it all in one hit will definitely cost more than 10 grand. Im going from bare shell to finished product and have spent over 15 grand, that was after a free 4efte and a bargain shell.

Be prepared to shell out minimum 15, i also bought lots of cheap stuff overseas. If i bought from aus or bought brand new itd be closer to 20 for me. If you can find my build thread youll see where 15 grand has gone.

But your build includes things like a subframe purchased rather than DIY, LSDs and roll cages.. Thats a lot more than a normal build.

I am curious to see where your at.. at the moment.. any updates? :)
I should probably update and share my blog also.

Thats a good point, didnt think of that lol. I got an LSD from everyone elses opinions and when i was going to use it as a track car andpossibly rally it. Ive since realised i cant drive for s**t and would probably wrap it round a tree straight off.

As for what ive done since, I sprayed the roll cage and am getting it a bit tidier so its good for an engineer to see. So next step is spraying the body.
